Arthur Haas, winner of the top prize in the Paris International Harpsichord Competition, is a member of the Aulos Ensemble, one of America’s foremost early music groups, with which he has recorded and toured all over North America for the past 20 years. Mr. Haas is professor at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, and is also on the faculties of the Mannes College of Music as well as the Historical Performance Program at the Juilliard School. This month he will join the faculty of Yale University. His solo CDs of Jean-Henry D’Anglebert, Forqueray, Purcell and his contemporaries, and most recently Elisabeth Jacquet de La Guerre and François Couperin have all received critical acclaim in the press. His recording of the complete keyboard works of Jean-Philippe Rameau will be released in 2013.
